BARCELONA, ES / ACCESS Newswire / May 15, 2025 / Rokid, a pioneer in augmented reality (AR) and human-computer interaction, joined the World Artificial Intelligence & IoT Innovation Alliance (WAIA) in presenting next-generation wearable technology at the IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC) 2025. As part of the WAIA Pavilion, Rokid showcased its upcoming flagship AR products, reinforcing its global commitment to inclusive innovation and intelligent user interaction.

Held at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, IOTSWC is one of the most influential platforms for industrial IoT and digital transformation. This year's edition featured more than 400 exhibitors and drew participation from government leaders, industry executives, and global technology pioneers. Rokid participated as one of six standout enterprises from Yuhang District, Hangzhou, underscoring the region's growing influence and export-readiness of its innovation ecosystem in the global digital economy.

During the WAIA Forum, Zoro Shao, Rokid's Global General Manager, delivered a powerful keynote highlighting the impact of Rokid Glasses, from supporting the visually impaired and elderly individuals with hearing loss, to empowering children with communication challenges and cyclists navigating urban traffic.

"Our glasses act as a bridge," Zoro explained. "When someone speaks, their words appear as real-time subtitles on the lens. Uncle Zhang used to sit silently during family calls. Now, he's the one making his grandkids laugh every day. That's the kind of human connection technology should enable."
With a lighthearted moment, Zoro added: "Also, have you guessed it? Yes, my speech script is right here in my glasses! This makes public speaking a breeze for someone as shy as I am. I've actually been reading the script all along!"
As part of this official opening ceremony, high-level dignitaries, including Mr. Albert Tort Puigbet, Secretary of Telecommunications of Catalunya; Ms. Maria Galindo i Garcia-Delgado, Secretary of Digital Policies; Mr. Constanti Serrallonga, General Director of Fira Barcelona; Mr. Enric Jové, Counselor of Corporate Strategy at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce; and Hon. Mr. Yuhong Meng, Consul General of China in Barcelona, visited the WAIA Pavilion. Rokid welcomed the delegation with live demonstrations and engaged in cross-border dialogue.
By showcasing these breakthrough products like the Rokid Glasses and AR Spatial, Rokid demonstrated how Chinese enterprises are reshaping the future of IoT and AI-enabled experiences in Europe and beyond.

Rokid's involvement in IOTSWC through WAIA reflects a shared mission: to drive global ecosystem integration, champion responsible innovation, and promote cross-border collaboration in AIoT. Through industry forums, product demonstrations, and international matchmaking, Rokid helped demonstrate how AR and AI technologies are applied to enhance mobility, accessibility, safety, and real-world productivity.
The participation follows Rokid's earlier global showcases at CES 2025 and Milan Design Week 2025, where AR Spatial was honored with the ZONA SARPI AWARD for AR Technological Aesthetic Design, cementing the company's growing presence across consumer, enterprise, and design-focused markets.
