United Alloy Expands New Manufacturing Facility in Dayton Region

Leading metal fabrication and powder coating manufacturer adding capacity and hiring an additional 250 employees

United Alloy announced today an additional expansion of manufacturing capacity in their newly established Union, Ohio facility.

United Alloy joined the Dayton community in February when they opened the company’s first facility in the region. The new facility manufactures data center fuel tanks and engine room exhaust plenums, adding an incremental 350,000 square feet to the previously announced 174,000 square feet for a total footprint of 532,000 square feet.

The expansion will create an additional 250 jobs, with more than 400 jobs anticipated once the site is fully staffed. In total, United Alloy is committing $48 million in capital investments to scale the Union, Ohio facility.

“We’ve been impressed with the Dayton area and its skilled workforce,” said Vanessa Dubick, CEO. “With the demands we’re seeing in the data center industry, we need more space and talented staff – Dayton was the obvious place to expand.”

A second generation, family-owned company, United Alloy is a leading brand in metal fabrication, welding and powder coating. Headquartered in Janesville, WI, United Alloy produces the highest quality leak-proof metal fuel tanks, reservoirs, skids, frames, chassis, trailers, heavy metal fabrications, and complex weldments. United Alloy serves power-generation customers both domestically and internationally.

United Alloy’s facility, located in Union, will mainly manufacture data center fuel tank and engine room exhaust plenums. This added capacity will help meet customer needs in the data center construction sector.

A grand opening ceremony will be held on June 10 where “sparks will fly” with a non-traditional ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the grand opening, job seekers can attend a Job Fair from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1925 Union Airpark Blvd in Union, OH where they can learn more about United Alloy, the jobs available and take a tour of the facility. Prospective employees can stop by the Job Fair or can show their interest by registering for the event at unitedalloy.com. Current positions available can be found at unitedalloy.com.

With the support of the Dayton Development Coalition, JobsOhio, and the City of Union, United Alloy is positioned for growth.

United Alloy is also looking to expand in other markets like Dayton that have the workforce and existing buildings/infrastructure.
