The event will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The City of Grace Florida Church in Lauderhill.
Now in its second year, the Bootcamp will bring together 75–100 nonprofit leaders from Broward and Palm Beach counties for a dynamic day of learning, strategy, and collaboration. This year's theme, "Mission Critical: Innovate. Sustain. Mobilize.", speaks to the urgent need for innovation and partnership as the sector responds to community hardship and policy shifts.
Program Highlights:
- Rapid Response Funders Panel – Grantmakers share funding priorities and practical guidance on how to stand out
- Advocacy in Action Panel – Media, storytelling, and public engagement strategies to safeguard community programs
- Sustainability Workshops – Interactive sessions on crisis budgeting, earned income, and collaborative service delivery
"Nonprofits are being asked to do more with less — just as families are experiencing deeper levels of need," said Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn. "This Bootcamp is about helping nonprofit leaders not only survive the moment, but emerge stronger, more connected, and better equipped to serve our community."
With an estimated 3 million Florida residents at risk of losing access to healthcare or food assistance, local organizations are already seeing spikes in need, particularly in food distribution, childcare, and community health services.
