Sammons Financial Group employees selected 25 organizations to receive a total of $175,000 in financial support. Recipient charities were invited to the company’s West Des Moines headquarters to further connect with employees about their organization and mission.

The initiative, started in 2018, empowers employees to nominate their favorite local charities each spring. The employees who choose to make nominations are then given the opportunity to educate their coworkers on the mission of the organization and why they are passionate about it. All employees then get to vote on the organizations they would like the company to support financially.

Sammons® Financial Group, Inc. announced the appointment of Linda Durman to the new position of Vice President, Annuity Product Development and Inforce Management. The change combines two separate, yet closely related, actuarial teams. The Annuity Product Development and Inforce Management teams joined under Durman’s leadership on September 11, 2023.

Sammons Financial Group has named Brian Hansen, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, to a new role within the company leading the growth strategy outside of its existing lines of business. Hansen will assume the senior-level position of Chief Development Officer, requiring a dedicated focus on growth in new and adjacent spaces to Sammons Financial Group.

Sammons Financial Group® and the Principal Charity Classic have selected By Degrees Foundation as the 2023 recipient of donations raised through the Legacy Project. Drake University announced today that Sammons Financial Group® has committed $3.15 million to Drake to support the development of the Sammons Intercultural Center and Sammons Plaza, along with support for two scholarship funds that will create a total of 14 endowed scholarships.
